Intravascular treatment for lumpy varicose vein

When there are bumps of veins with more than 0.5-1 cm on the surface of lower leg or thigh, it is likely that typical varicose vein occurred. In that case, intravascular laser treatment or high frequency ablation treatment will be chosen. It is an epochal treatment that leaves only a needle hole scar, and since anesthesia is applied locally, there is only a light burden on the body and no interface with daily life. You need to wear compression stockings for a week or two after the surgery, but you can go back to work or do exercise soon after the treatment.

For lumpy varicose vein in genital or collateral area, sclerotherapy (form sclerotherapy) will be used. In this treatment, peculiar medicine that hardens and atrophies vein will be injected to the lumpy varicose vein. As an intravascular treatment, it is less invasive and out-patient treatment is possible.

You need to wear compression stockings for a week or two after the treatment. Several separate treatments may be required. Sometimes pigmentation occurs after the treatment, but disappears after several months to 2 years.
